How safe are your online payments?

We use Paypal for all Debit/Credit Card payments, however you don't need a Paypal account to pay by with your Debit/Credit Card.

PayPal is considered globally as one of the safest ways to send money online. Unlike other financial institutions, PayPal payments are sent without sharing financial information. In fact, PayPal NEVER shares your financial information with or sells it to merchants.blocks with FAQ on them

As a PayPal user, you’re protected from any payment that you did not authorise.

As a fraud-prevention measure, PayPal will send an email confirmation for every online payment that you make with PayPal. If you receive email confirmation of a transaction that you did not approve, contact Paypal and they will work with you to quickly resolve the issue. You will not be responsible for the charges.

Data Encryption

Safeguarding your financial and personal informat is one of Paypals most important priorities. That’s why they automatically encrypt all sensitive information sent between your computer and their servers.

Paypal ensure that your internet browser is running Secure Sockets Layer 3.0 (SSL) or higher. They then pass all data across the internet using SSL with an encryption key length of 168 bits (the highest level commercially available).

Your data is stored on PayPal servers that are heavily guarded, both physically and electronically. To further shield your card and bank numbers, their servers are not directly linked to the internet.

MyBirthCert.ie does not record or have access to your Debit/Credit Card details, nor will we ever email or call you about your Debit/Credit Card details.
